Internationally recognized as a leading manufacturer of the entire range of audio components with innovative designs, natural sound and “clean” industrial design.
About Ypsilon
Ypsilon Electronics was formed in 1995. Founded by two sound engineers, Dimitris Baklavas and Fanis Lagadinos, with vast experience in the field of live music reproduction.
It was not only their experience with live music and live concerts that provided them with the necessary conditions to gain knowledge, it was also a vast technical background in electronics engineering, that contributed in formatting the concept of how a high end audio device should perform as well as how reliable it should be.
It was their love and dedication to natural live music that drove them to transform a passion into technology. A technology that combines both traditional and modern ground breaking designs and techniques.
Ypsilon Electronics strives to reproduce music in a way that is true to the original recording.
Ypsilon’s achievement is the creation of unique products that communicate to the listener the true meaning of music…EMOTION!
Pursuit of excellence

Ypsilon and Dimitris Baklavas, its Chief Designer, are recognized internationally for their products by audiophiles and leading reviewers around the world. Their products and custom creations are present in the most exclusive listening rooms. Despite success, they keep improving their designs, being incremental or radical improvements. During a transformative session like this, I was privileged to witness the latest changes on the Aelius SE mono blocks. At the same session, we enjoyed most of the Ypsilon Silver Edition components and the SET 100 Ultimate.

Phaethon is a hybrid line level amplifier utilizing only three active gain stages two of them with low noise valves operating in single-ended class A fashion, for the input and driver stage. It uses a transformer attenuator build in-house, embedded in the preamplifier section in a novel post attenuation technique. It uses many of the technical solutions developed in our Aelius monoblock amplifier and PST 100 mk2 preamplifier in a compact and elegant design. Power rating is 110W rms @ 8 ohm and 180W rms @4 ohm.
Price: starting at MSRP $27,000

The PST – 100 approaches the concept of pre amplification in an outstanding way: the in house made transformers used for attenuation. In addition to its valve state circuit, it is combined with exquisite materials produce the finest and most elegant sound that any pre amp could ever achieve. Ypsilon has developed a very special transformer as the means of attenuation, using special winding techniques and highest quality wires and cores. Its performance suppassed that of the best resistor attenuators. The PST 100 is also available without the valve stage for systems that don’t require additional gain. This version is equipped with the transformer attenuators and is called PST 100 TA. It is a must have preamplifier for a “no holds” system.
Price: Starting at MSRP $28,000 (passive) or $39,000, including the active stage as well.

The DAC1000 and DAC1000SE are no oversampling digital to analog converters. They have 6 inputs, Coax, BNC, AES and Optical as well as and USB and I2S through HDMI connector capable of PCM 24/384. The I2S input offers the purest signal path and no processing, achieving highest performance when a source with a compatible format is used. The analog section is made with a single ended, triode operated, Siemens tube per channel.
Price: Starting at MSRP $26,000

The VPS 100 is a moving magnet tube phono stage, using passive RIAA equalization encompassing inductors, capacitors and resistors (LCR). It has two stages of gain. The RIAA network is driven by a custom transformer which is wound in-house. This is a split RIAA design using two gain stages based on the SIEMENS C3g tube, considered very reliable and useful life up to 10,000 hours.
Price: Starting at MSRP $28,000

Aelius II Monoblock Power Amplifier
Aelius II is a push-pull hybrid monoblock power amplifier using only two gain stages with no overall feedback providing power to drive real world speakers with unmatched transparency and musical involvement. The first gain stage is implemented with a valve, operated in single-ended class A , transformer coupled to the output stage. By using a transformer we avoid using an additional gain stage, so transparency and purity of the signal is preserved. Power rating is 200W rms @ 8 ohm and 350W rms @ 4 ohm.
Price: Starting at $41,000

Hyperion Monoblock Power Amplifier
Hyperion is a high power hybrid monoblock amplifier. It takes to the extreme the technologies Ypsilon
developed over the years in amplification. Hyperion combines high power output with no overall feedback and a simple and pure signal path of only two gain stages. The first gain stage uses a low impedance double triode coupled to the output stage with a wide bandwidth silver interstage transformer. The input is transformer-coupled with a specially made silver interstage transformer that provides a perfectly balanced input. The power rating is more than 370 W rms @ 8 ohms and 1200 W rms @ 2 ohms. The first 100W are class A.
Price: MSRP $98,000

SET 100 Ultimate is a single-ended class A hybrid amplifier. It has the magic midrange of a small S.E.T amplifier with the scale, authority, macro and micro detail that no amplifier has ever achieved until now. It uses a specially designed s-e mosfet output stage direct coupled at the output using as the dc current path a double c-core amorphous choke.
It has only 2 gain stages in the signal path, yet the level of immediacy and transparency is unequaled by designs using more than 2 gain stages. Having no overall feedback, the distortion is kept comparably low while the output impedance is sufficient enough to drive real world loudspeakers. The power rating is 120W rms @ 8 ohm,
130W rms @ 5,6 ohm and 100W rms @ 4 ohm.
Price: MSRP $130,000
